These racks enable easy access to components, have forced cooling, integrated circuit breakers, customized interfacing, and can be fly-away, roll-on/roll-off, or permanently mounted.
SCOTTY engineers have extensive experience in defining the best rack solutions together with customers. They have created specialized airborne rack systems, ruggedized 19” trayed systems for ships, unique wheeled vehicle racks which are molded for the interior, and kits for mobile conference rooms to be shipped around the world. Mounted on these racks are SCOTTY brand products, SatCom devices, video/audio processing and splitting equipment, encryption devices, power supplies, cooling, and interfacing. Pull-up and flip-out monitors, keyboards, and mouse can also be added. These systems enable customers to enjoy full-blown SCOTTY advanced communication without worrying about extra cabling, overheating, or loss of components – everything is installed, integrated, and ready for use.
SCOTTY Racks are in use throughout the world on, for example, helicopters, frigate class ships, army vehicles, and also in tents and conference rooms. The systems have been designed and optimized for the customers’ applications and the environment. Airborne racks have been aero certified, racks on ships have special shock-absorbing mounts, fly-away racks are shipped within their own customized containers. The systems only require power and a SatCom antenna or other kind of network and operations can begin. Furthermore, if a component needs to be upgraded or changed, access is easy; and if a vehicle is in for maintenance, the rack can be moved to another vehicle and sent on its way.
